A laugh a minute with Harry Robson, Master Magician & raconteur.

Harry has lectured over 60 times over the past 10 years for over 30 societies in both UK and Europe.

Aimed at magical societies the lecture consists of two halves. Both halves consist of a performance and explanation, with a short break. At the end of the evening Harry is happy to hold a workshop for half an hour with the members of the society so people can put in to practice some of Harry's effects. Harry's working commercial effects are for sale at the end of the evening.

Harry gave us a fantastic night. Harry shared some very strong commercial effects with the enthusiastic audience and was also pleased to give 'one to one' tuition during the break and at the end of the evening. Harry's sense of humour and routining, delivered with perfect timing,  were a lesson for the performers present just as important as his excellent effects. Harry also has a fund of entertaining personal anecdotes concerning the perils of a being a professional magician.
 
Many of us had previously only seen Harry at a distance on his stand or organising the Dealers' Halls at Blackpool. So it was a real pleasure to have him visit. The Harry Robson Lecture is highly recommended to any other club secretaries reading this note.

Hello Folks,

I would like to start by saying a huge thankyou to Harry for delivery a very entertaining and action packed lecture and the first external lecturer. An excellent turnout for our junior society too thanks for the suppoort.  I am sure all who attended will have taken something away from the evening if not only an empty wallet.  The lecture was delivered at the perfect level encompassing the full range of skills currently within our society, brilliant.

I am sure that Harry will be very welcome anytime to our society and the possibility of some joint evenings are on the horizon for the future.  Please make sure you guys say hello to Harry at the forth coming Blackpool convention and take plenty of money too.

I am the French magician who met you last night at the Huddersfield magic circle. It was a great moment for me and a real opportunity to meet you. i did not lose my time. I really enjoyed your tricks. I do so far stand up magic and am prepared to do also table hopping. I do need to stay in contact with you because your advice would be of great help I need advice from specialist like you.

I'm 34 and have been a student of magic for about 5 years now. That's a relatively short time, however, my daytime occupation affords me the materials and references needed to make up for lost time. But in magic, like anything else, professional experience is something money cannot buy. Therefore I try to take advantage of any opportunity to perform in the real world. Let me cut right to it. I have many magic books and many many magic dvds. Some worthless, some priceless. Your "magic under fire" dvd is the latter. In fact, pound for pound, it is the best magic dvd I own. And believe me, I gottem' all. Being as passionate about magic as I am there is nothing more gratifying than making people gasp, shout or laugh with my magic. So doing this on a more professional basis is slowly taking shape for me. And I can say that watching your dvd not only gave me at least 2 added effects to my repetoire but somehow it gave me confidence. I am no longer hung up on negative people or negative performing situations. Watching you roll with the punches is far more valuable than learning 15 different types of double lifts. Don't get me wrong, I love my sleights but that's only a small piece of the puzzle. In short, I am a better magician having watched your dvd and for that I thank you.
